Happy New Year ! - quick message from Bob.

Well I've had a Xmas fortnight off but hope to return to service as normal this week. So it's the same rambling , bumbling, chaos you've grown to love and admire. Thanks for all the messages of Christmas greetings, thanks, and support.

This Xmas I was pleased to meet Jim Ross and family who happened to be in the Continent and made a special journey all the way to Leeds to visit. It was a special day and another of those moments that makes this Webmastering slog all worth while. Thanks Jim.

Also ...

Well a decent beard is more important than a fat tummy to make a good Santa, it seems. Trevor Hockey was the worthy winner of the Quizlet poll to see which footballer would make the best Father Christmas ! He polled 29 per cent of the vote ahead of Fatty Foulkes and Neville Southall !

Whilst researching the Gabby Yorath story, I came across another link to Bob's pages. The Yorkshire Life January 2001 edition refers to www.guiseley.co.uk, which is an excellent site and Peter Gable, the webmaster, was very encouraging about this site in its early days, so thanks for the link Peter.

Nigel Mercer's excellent site which has most of the pictures from the FKS 1970-71 World of Soccer Stars book has updated his site and relocated it which means there's a few broken links around the site. I'll try to mend them as I go. See British Football Cards Collector's Gallery
