There's a chance to help compile a 70s video being made by Liverpool. The Official website offers fans the chance to vote for their favourite 70s game to be included with the video. It has one choice from the 70-71 season, when Liverpool beat the then defending (old) First Division Champions, Everton 3-2 at home. I voted for a Leeds match, though, for a chance to see Billy Bremner on a new video ! See Liverpoolfc.tv - 70s vote

A bit before the 70-71 season this - Albert Quixall, who I remember as a Sheffield Wednesday player from the Fifties, but also played for Manchester United after that until the mid-Sixties, has a horse named after him. Albert may not be very chuffed about this, however, because according to Football365.com the horse has run it's 100th race without winning. The horse is a gelding owned by Ted Caine and already has the record for the most consecutive defeats!

Incidentally, I've another website up and running now - though it's my mate Andy that's done all the work, so far ... We're attempting to visit and catalogue all the World's Empty Petrol Stations, perhaps you know of some?! See www.emptyshells.co.uk
