Note:
Lennie
Lawrence has been added above as manager of Cardiff City.
Lennie would have been 22 at the start of the 70-71
season, but as he had a non-League career I am as yet
unable to place on Bob's 70-71 Pages. Lennie stepped down
as manager 23 May, 2005.
Other
current English League managers who were the right age,
but I do not yet have confirmation of their place on the
site due to not having a playing career in England are:
Craig Brown - Preston North End (sacked 29 August 2004),
Claude Le Roy - Cambridge United, Jacques Santini- Spurs
(leaves for 'personal reasons' 5 November, 2004), and
Arsčne Wenger - Arsenal.
Graham
Barrow - Bury - ( left in September 2005, May 2006
assistant manager at Chester City) was born in 1954, but
I do not yet have the proof that he was an apprentice in
70-71.
Steve
Coppell - Reading was born in 1955, and again I do not
have any proof that he was on anyone's books in 70-71.
Index
From 2005-2006
the layout of the Rothmans/Sky pages has been changed to
an easier Players A-Z of those Bob70-71 Players who still
have a position in professional football, including
non-league and non-English clubs or international
positions.
Previous to
this the site's original format which was based on the
player being listed in Sky Sports Football Yearbook. This
source is no longer the only way of finding out the
information, and it has started to list fewer and fewer
posts beyond manager and coach.
